DJ Fabiola Loik (IT)
Fabiòla´s unpretentious self description: „I simply try to offer traditional argentine tango nice to dance.“
She has DJed in many milongas in the North East of Italy, Slovenia and Austria and in international events like Experiencia Milonguera in Villa Giacomelli, Dans te Bras in Paris, Alpine Abrazo in Mallnitz, Caminata por el Lago on Balaton Lake and many others.
She lives, dances, loves and studies tango in Trieste.
DJ Hans Peter Salzer (DE)
DJ-Salzer, alias Hans Peter Salzer, is an international Tango-DJ, living in the south of Germany. In this region he is DJ-ing since 1999 - meanwhile he also works for international events, like Milongas, Tango-Balls and Encuentros.
From the beginning of his Tango-Life he has been delighted by the richness of melodies and the musical variety in the traditional tangos. His favourite tangos are going like an infective fluid into heart, brain and feet.
DJ Mathias Denk (S)
Mathias only dances “estilo Milonguero”, and the tango music he plays is a result of that fact. He only plays songs from “The Golden Age” and up to the 1950s.
Every year he goes to Buenos Aires to develop his dancing and his musicality, and he therefore knows the music he plays is “bien bailable”!
Mathias is one of the resident DJs at Milonga Plaza Bohemia in Stockholm, and he frequently plays at Tango Norte’s tango events.
DJ Salima Barzanti (IT)
It was by chance that Salima discovered the world of tango. The first time she approached a mixer was many years ago, at the milonga her school had held in the main square in the town centre of Conegliano (Treviso, Italy). From that moment, she has been completely involved in expanding her musical knowledge, always with the dancers’ beating hearts in mind.
Salima’s tango is traditional, yet never ordinary. She’s resident TDJ at „Blumilonga“ in Conegliano since 2014. She regularly plays at events, encuentros and milongas in Italy and abroad.
Her motto is “First of all, energy on the dance floor”
DJ Xenia Mikhailov (IL)
Xenia Mikhailov is an Israeli DJ traveling abroad and playing music in Europe. She sees herself as a very diverse DJ, being able to play light and dynamic music, keeping high and flowing energy or creating more sophisticated and calm atmosphere depending on the dancers need.
Her first education (MA) was in the field of history of XX century culture that allowed her to continue her research when she arrived at tango, to bring you a lot of lesser known danceable tunes staying in the strict frame of completely traditional music.
An important part of her style is using the whole spectrum of tango music and introducing a new danceable music from the end of twenties to the middle of fifties. Please, pay attention: the keyword is 'danceable', not 'new'.
DJ Andrew Emerson (GB)
Andrew discovered his passion for Argentine tango in January 2008. Although he fell in love with the music straight away, it is only recently that he has used his knowledge of the music as a tango DJ.
Andrew plays Golden Age music from the 1920's to the 1950's and chooses music as the milonga progresses to reflect the type of event and the energy in the room.
He has DJ'd throughout the UK and has debuted abroad in Norway.
